One of my favorite Bible verses states that, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” It is important as I work with my clients, to be focused on those true treasures and understand how they fit in our lives.
During World War II, both of my parents and their families were prisoners after being taking from their native Poland at 15 and 9 years of age respectively. At war end, both immigrated to the United States. They both became United States citizens as soon as they could after marrying and starting their lives together in Chicago. This love and appreciation for the United States was instilled early on in my siblings and myself. Their “treasure” and “heart” was in their freedom of being in the United States, and the blessings that God provided them in making a better life for our family.
I am a lifelong resident of the Chicagoland area, having been born and raised on the Northwest side of Chicago. My wife, Laura and I now live in Crystal Lake since 2006, after having moved to McHenry county area in 1998. We have two sons, James and Justin. I have enjoyed serving the community actively through various athletics programs, high school mentoring and volunteering, McHenry County College 101 program, started Christian Business Professionals of McHenry County group, and various church roles at Willow Creek Community Church – Crystal Lake. In my spare time, I enjoy flying, shooting, photography, video editing, golfing, the outdoors, my small group and following sports. My wife and I also enjoy cheering on the athletic programs of the University of Alabama and the University of Nebraska where our sons attend. “Roll Tide” and “Go Big Red”! Since we are practically empty-nesters, we especially love spending time together as a family, as well as time with our cockapoo, Buster.
